These terms govern your use of FoundationMatch, a free grant-matching tool for small nonprofits. By using the tool, you agree to these terms.
FoundationMatch provides an automated tool that compares a description of your nonprofit work against a directory of grant-maker priority statements and returns a ranked shortlist of potential matches. The tool is free to use and does not require payment.
FoundationMatch is a research tool. It does not provide legal, financial, or grant-application advice. Match scores and reasons are generated automatically based on keyword overlap between your description and funder priority statements. They are not guarantees of funding eligibility, approval, or suitability. You are responsible for verifying each funder’s current priorities, application requirements, and eligibility criteria before applying.
You may use the tool without an account to understand how it works. To save shortlists and return to them later, you must sign in using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We are not responsible for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account.
You agree to use the tool only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not:
FoundationMatch, its brand name, logo, and the matching engine are the intellectual property of the tool operator. The funder directory contains publicly available information and is compiled for research purposes. Your descriptions and shortlists remain your data.
The tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the funder directory is complete, accurate, or current. Funder priorities change over time; you should verify each funder’s current guidelines directly. We make no guarantee that the tool will be available at all times — it may be updated, modified, or discontinued.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the tool operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the tool. This includes any loss of grant opportunities, data, or business.
FoundationMatch is provided free of charge. There is no fee, subscription, or payment required to use the tool. We do not collect or process payments through this service. No credit card is needed at any point.
If billing arrangements are introduced in the future, these terms will be updated with the full details — price, billing period, payment failure handling, and refund policy — before any charges are applied.
The legal entity that operates this tool has not yet been registered. The terms are provided by the tool operator — the person who will complete that registration. Once the entity is registered (planned), these terms will be updated with the registered name.
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated date. Continued use of the tool after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the tool operator is domiciled. Until the legal entity is registered, this is determined by the operator’s residence.
